Are my items insured during transport?

Updated at: 2024-07-31 15:57

All items sent via Brenger are insured against damage and theft up to €500 during transport from door to door.

In specific cases, as described in the Transport Agreement, Article 4, the damage is not covered:

  • Damage to the product that occurs indoors when the carrier lifts or helps lift the items at the pickup or delivery address;
  • Damage to glass, mirrors, stone, computers, pianos, trailers, printers, foodstuffs, plants, animals, money and money-like paper, personal jewelry, art, and antiques/antiquities;
  • Damage to a product that is larger than 400x180x160 cm;
  • Damage to a product that, in total, weighs more than 200 kg in a single order;
  • Damage to anything other than the product, such as the house or garden;
  • The carrier is not liable for damage to the product that could not be reasonably detected at the pickup address, for example, internal damage that is not visible on the outside of the product.
  • You can take precautions to minimize the risk of damage. Pack and secure your items properly, use the correct packaging materials, and consider purchasing additional insurance for valuable items.

In case of damage, we request that you fill out the damage form within 48 hours after the items have been delivered. Our team will review the case and contact you as soon as possible. Depending on the damage, we will assist you with repairs or reimburse the value of the product (up to €500).

If you do not have all the necessary information on hand, we still ask that you fill out the form within 48 hours. We will then contact you to complete the case.
