Phishing is a form of cybercrime where individuals are contacted via email, phone, WhatsApp, SMS, or online messengers by someone posing as a legitimate institution. The goal is to obtain sensitive information such as personal data, bank and credit card details, and passwords. This information is then used to hack into important accounts and can lead to identity theft and financial loss.
